“The Holy Spirit longs to find the gates of our heart, so that He may enter and dwell there, and sanctify it.” (Ephraem the Syrian)

So what about your heart?

Where do you start to unblock it?

The way is found in Christ Jesus.

Surely that is why He says to us

That He is the way.

How then, do you accomplish this way?

The way, the Lord Jesus shows us,

Is to live prayerfully.

Prayer helps us to focus on Jesus,

As the living Word of God,

The One who sends the Spirit to us.

Invite then, the Spirit belonging to Jesus

And to the Lord God Almighty,

To come to you to undergird your faith.

The Spirit brings us through the Lord Jesus, sanctity to liberty.

“We, too have a sacrifice to make, a continual offering of praise to God for all He has done for us through Jesus. We have lips that keep expressing faith in His Name, in all that He is.” (Hebrews 13 v

15 The Truth)

Liberty is as we are set free from sin,

Dignity thereby and a new identity found.

For the Spirit like Jesus, together with our Father,

All Three love us unconditionally, powerfully.

The effect of holy love given generously

Is an amazing, life changing impact.

The Spirit develops love’s generosity,

Enabling us to give of ourselves in service,

Longing to broadcast the fame of the Lord Jesus.

The Holy Spirit develops our confidence

To make this faith’s spread possible, by working in our heart.

Opening up many an opportunity to do good,

Plenty of good, then even more!

Our responsibility is to pray and listen out for the Spirit’s

Input, His inspiration, His instruction and direction.

“He goes about to all the gates to see where He may enter.” (Ephraem the Syrian)

“ ‘Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak’.”(Matthew 26 v 41)

Let us pray for the continuous gift of the Spirit.
